Q) Hello all, How do people manage to get the music from Cd's onto their mp3 players? Maybe I'm doing it wrong, but I upload the Cd by using the rip facility on the media player and these are then saved as .wma files....However to enable the upload onto the mp3 player ( mobile phone) it needs to be converted to a .mp3 file Is there any site recommended where I can download this convertor for free? or am i doing it wrong to start with or how can I upload in mp3 format from the cd in the first place?

Q) I'm trying to put a song together I have the mp3 2 files that I want as the beat behind the lyrics, they were just sent to me but I want to find software that I can open the file with and fasten them up or slow them down AND merge them to make them into one tune so the backing beat has my own style not two different backing tracks playing at different time while im practicing. I know you're gonna say go to a prof. studio but I really haven't got the money or equipment, I'm still in school but saving up so when I leave I have demo's to pass around ( education comes first!) even if they are low budget,home produced and do turn out awful ( its worth a try!) but has anyone got any suggestions of any software I can use to carry out this task?
